Mosaic Monday

I am trying my hand at a new blog carnival this week...Mosaic Monday, created by Lori at Simple Shutter. Each Monday, Lori posts a mosaic on her blog with Mr. Linky allowing others to join in on the fun and she posts a theme for next week's mosaic.

This week's theme...GAMES

(the pictures correspond with the descriptions below...left to right and top to bottom)

1. Frank-o ready to serve-it-up in a tennis match about a year ago with a racquet at least three times too big.

2. Buck-a-roo, two Christmases ago, playing with his "Boppers" given to him by Mam, my MIL. I'm still not sure, to this day, how the "Boppers" got holes in them and would no longer hold air {hee!hee!}.

3. A picture of the scoreboard during the final game at LSU's Alex Box Stadium. LSU's baseball team begins their 2009 season in less than a month in a brand-spanking new stadium and ranked #1.

4. Buck-a-roo uncooperatively laying in the middle of the field amidst a tantrum during his very first t-ball practice last summer. Needless to say, we didn't finish the season and we will try again this year, being a year older.

5. Buck-a-roo and Frank-o playing play-doh together...that's a game, right?

6. This is a frequently played game in our house...we call it "Piggy-pile Daddy"!!

7. Buck-a-roo opening his CandyLand Christmas gift given to him by his sweet friend, Jack. We have played, oh at least, 35 times since Christmas, less than one month ago.

8. Buck-a-roo and Frank-o playing an arcade game at a local pizza place. They love to go their for pizza and games regularly. Matter of fact, Buck-a-roo just recently questioned if we could go again soon; that kid forgets NOTHING.

9. Daddy Buck and I tailgating at this past football season's much anticipated LSU-Alabama SEC match-up. It was a great day of tailgating and a terrific football game, despite the fact that our LSU Tigers lost in overtime :(

This theme was somewhat difficult for me because my boys are still yet a little young for much organized board game play. So, I incorporated several different "plays" on the topic of GAMES.

  1. Oh my gosh!!!!!! Laughing out loud at Buck-a-Roo on the tee-ball field!!!!! Seriously...Lane was in tee-ball last summer, too, and it was so difficult for him to accept the fact that he wasn't going to "get" every ball hit into the field! Many tears were shed, but we made it through the season! ha! Great mosaic, girl!

  3. Fun! I'm putting my six year old in T-ball this summer, hopefully we won't have the same reaction. ;-) Thanks for joining in!
