I DID NOT, earlier this week, en route to work in early morning traffic, fly past a parked police officer and swallow a huge lump in my throat as I glanced in the rear view mirror to see if he was pulling out after me. Just before glancing in the rear view mirror, I DID NOT toss my cell phone into the passenger seat. You see, no way was I gonna get pulled over for speeding and acquire a second offense for texting while driving. I WOULD NEVER text while I drive {gulp!} and I certainly WAS NOT going to be accused of it because my cell phone was nearby in my lap and blowing up with incoming messages.
I am fully aware that all animals at the zoo are caged and that the caging process is carried out by professionals and those cages/habitats/exhibits/surroundings have been tested and proven to keep the animals caged and safe to the viewing public. Knowing that, I DID NOT nearly shed my outer skin as if I wear a snake jump out of skin, literally, and utter a 4-letter expletive when Daddy Buck prodded me in my side and exclaimed, "sssss, snake got lose!" while we were at the zoo yesterday.
Daddy Buck and I DID NOT make a combined total of (3) trips to the neighborhood supermarket, that lies approximately 1-minute driving distance as a crow flies from our house, for miscellaneous odds&ends today. That would be downright inefficient and unorganized; neither of which are adjectives that I would use to describe the two of us.
And finally,
Say it isn't so...it CAN NOT be for real that Buck-a-roo has spiked a fever and his nose is running nasty, thick, greenish snot draining mucous, seeing as both boys are scheduled to have their ENT surgeries, for the second attempt, on Thursday.
Now, join in the fun by linking up via MckMama @ My Charming Kids.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear about Buck-a-roo. Brayden is staying home sick today with a fever, too. Must be going around daycare.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Praying for healthy kids so the surgeries can go on as scheduled!!!

Had one of those kinds of law enforcement issues myself this week. I tried to rather quickly roll, strike that, blow through a stop sign near home on the way to meet a friend. Fortunately for me, he was preoccupied with what has surfaced as the neighborhood robbery. But he still pulled in behind me and I almost wet my pants. Clearly, not a goood thing!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that when your kids are sick, they never act it at the Dr. office but the minute you have a procedure scheduled, they start with the fever and snotty nose?
Good luck,
Pam
I had a horrible experience being pulled over last summer, so I am paranoid whenever I see a cop now. Did he let you off easy?
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! It's Phoebe! I had no idea Harley and Cody had surgery. It sounds like they were good, though. That's amazing behavior! They've been well taught. :)
ReplyDeleteGive Harley and Cody all my love and I hope they get better. Best wishes for you and Jack dealing with all of this!
Love
Phoebe
