say it ain’t so

that this boy

wearing his favorite striped tshirt,

rocking a faux-hawk,

sporting a yogurt smoothie mustache,

and glowing with an awesome suntan…..

…..will be starting {gasp!} Kindergarten in exactly one week!

At least, tomorrow, he’ll be spending the entire day with his Momma for doctor visits, Kindergarten testing, lunch date, and uniform/shoe shopping!

It's not often that I video the boys and share here, but today's an exception!!

“stay-at-home”days

My boys fondly refer to Saturday and Sunday as “stay-at-home” days and they enthusiastically countdown to the weekend by counting how many “wake-ups” remain for the week.

As in…..after tonight, there are four more “wake ups” before it finally having two “stay-at-home” days!

Deep in the heart of the dog days of summer, how will you find us spending our “stay-at-home” days?!

Corks-n-Canvas

Last night….. two of my girlfriends (one of which blogs here) visited Corks-n-Canvas, a local business with a fabulous premise.

Corks :: wine

Canvas ::  painting

wine + painting = great Friday night entertainment for three girlfriends

Fifteen minutes of munching….. havarty and brie cheeses, grapes and strawberries, blue cheese&scallion dip with soda wafers……

Let’s Get This Party Started!

The {scheduled} painting of the night:  House of the Rising Sun II

(click the link above if you feel compelled to know what the picture was supposed to look like)

This is essentially my completed painting (I tweaked it a bit more later)!

  {cheers}  {claps}  {bravos}

(cute blond with sunglasses atop her head in the background of all these pictures…..yea, don’t know her, but she and her friend that were across the table from us; they sure were nice!  Ok, let’s continue…..)

And here’s the artwork of my cohorts!!

(Isn’t interpretation a beautiful thing?!….at least that’s what my dear friend kept reminding me)

-Pay little attention to the {three} bottles of wine in the above picture-

3 ladies, 3 bottles….that’s how it works, right?!
