...... ALWAYS smiling from ear to ear! (well, except when he's not)
...... lover of all sports - currently obsessed with all things baseball (hence the LSU Baseball-themed birthday party tomorrow night)
...... clothes{uniforms} are a subject of contention, yet shirttail is tucked in most always - he maintains a minuscule amount of "safe" clothing that keeps the washing machine a'working daily
...... Doritos fanatic!!!
...... wearer of all things blue, because that's "his" color
...... sports the #seven obviously
...... rocks a Mohawk every summer because it's totally him!
...... a true fan of his big brother
...... oodles of passion, spunk, and spitfire all wrapped up in a compact little guy
...... still the baby of the family; I suppose he'll always be, but it may be time to start {suffice it to say, he's somewhat of a Mama's boy}

Running the Bases

Yesterday was the final game of the last home regular season series for our LSU Tigers baseball team.
Though they lost, we ended the season on a high note....... On Sundays, kids can run the bases following the game and yesterday was the day we finally hung around to let Buck-a-roo and Frank-o do just that!
They've run the bases before but it's equally as fun {and competitive} each time!

And we close the door

{in about four weeks}

 

on Frank-o’s Kindergarten school year.  Tonight was his End-of-the-Year program/Kindergarten graduation. 

 

If this post seems familiar…….same post, same occasion, same program, this time last year. 

 

Got the t-shirt! … in a different color …

It seems as though this’ll be our order of events for the next few years to come.

Slight role reversal on the proud brother scene…….

And the same two very proud parents!!

Coincidentally, Frank-o recited the very same last line of the program that Buck-a-roo recited in the microphone last year.  Frank-o told us that he requested that of his teacher (also Buck-a-roo’s Kindergarten teacher). 

Truth……maybe?  Special…..indeed!

I snuck into his room after he was fast asleep and flew balloons by his doorway

H-A-R-L-E-Y (6) + '#7' (1) = 7 {surprise} balloons to wake up to!




He was so excited!! As is his excitement for his upcoming indoor swimming birthday party this weekend!

Let's Rock n Roll

Another big {running} weekend for the Vaughn Family is coming to an end .....

We spent the weekend in New Orleans for the Rock n Roll Marathon!

The fun began on Saturday when the boys ran the ING Kids Rock 1-mile Run!


They had a blast! It was my first time to race with them, so I had fun too! Buck-a-roo pulled ahead of Frank-o and I but we (all three) finished strong!

Today was Daddy Buck's race..... the Rock n Roll New Orleans Half Marathon. It was his second half marathon. And, by far, his biggest race; participant wise, with 22,000 runners!!


He finished at 1:52:25, a personal record for half marathon!
It was my first time spectating, as opposed to running; therefore, it was my first time to actually see Daddy Buck run and finish.......very special!

Another weekend of family running.......we rocked n rolled!
