Tired.Tuckered.Pooped.
2 1/2 year old.
Takes a nap EVERY day for 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
Plays FULL force for 7 hours outside (from 9:30 to 4:30).
In the swimming pool and bright sunshine.
And, when he just can't go anymore; but, just won't give up playing.

Flashback Friday
Since we find ourselves smack in the middle of 4-6 year old tball, twice weekly, these days....I thought I would flashback to our attempt at 3 year old tball last summer.
Not only has Buck-a-roo's interest in tball grown, exponentially, in the past year....so have my photography skills!
So....please do not comment, nor laugh, at how ridiculously blurry these pictures are!

Weekend Wrap-up
Are we the only family that continuously needs to have Mondays available for rest, relaxation, and recuperation from the overly busy weekends that we live for. This past weekend remained true to our ways...friends, family, fun, frenzy! And, as I type this post on Monday night at 9:13pm, not having had the day off to regain my vim, vigor, and vitality...I am weary and worn out (and full of alliterations).
Friday night....girls' night at the LSU baseball game. Myself and two of my girlfriends enjoyed the game as our LSU Tigers delivered a beating to the Tennessee Volunteers (the remainder of the series on Saturday and Sunday...NOT so impressive).
Saturday lunch....the boys and I met some friends at Chick-fil-A for a lunch playdate.
Saturday night....the boys spent the night at my MIL and Daddy Buck and I joined my SIL/BIL for a fundraiser silent auction/live auction/dinner/drinks/music at our church. It is a large production, complete with a theme. This year's theme~groovy, late 60s/early 70s/woodstock/hippie.
Here's DB and I sporting our best hippie threads (and hairs) for the night's events.
And, here's a group picture of our entire table.
{we partied the night away as if we were still 20 somethings until 2am and were up by 7am to get boys and prepare for Sunday's agenda}
Sunday....my brother came into town and we, along with several friends, went to the Angola Prison Rodeo. You may remember this post last fall when Frank-o and I enjoyed the rodeo for the first time. This past Sunday was the Spring rodeo and as the saying goes, "April showers bring..." a massive muddy mess to a rodeo arena. The most disappointing aspect of this venture is that no cameras or cell phones are allowed on the grounds of the state penitentiary....this means no picture documentation for posting on your family blog {bummer!}.
Whew! It reminds me of my fatigue as I relive the weekend's events in this written recap. Hope everyone had a fabulous, fun-filled weekend.
My heart is heavy and my prayers are in preparation for Stellan's upcoming heart surgery tomorrow morning. May his physicians be filled with wisdom and may our Great Physician's will prevail for Stellan and his MckFamily tomorrow.

random photo challenge
This week's Random Picture Challenge as hosted by 4 Little Men & Girly Twins is
April 2008
42nd Picture
This had to be a picture from one of our first water playtimes last year. You will see Buck-a-roo, Frank-o, and two of their best friends, Jack and Drew, in the picture. Look closely and you can probably note blue lips and shivering considering it was early Spring.

Out of the mouths....
If you haven't done so already, you should read this post about our recent trip to the LSU baseball game. It gives the details of our boys getting their baseballs autographed by several of the LSU baseball team members and is the prelude to this conversation that I overheard Thursday afternoon just before we left for Buck-a-roo's Tball practice....
Buck-a-roo: "Frank-o, are you coming to my Tball practice today?"
{well, of course he is....he isn't gonna stay home alone....anyhow}
Frank-o: "Yes!"
Buck-a-roo: "Bring your baseball and I'll sign it for you since I'm a baseball player and you can't play yet"
{I suppose your third day of 4 year old Tball practice definitely constitutes hitting the Big Leagues and is autograph worthy}

Flashback Friday
The clock in the bottom right hand corner of my computer screen is telling me that I have exactly 33 minutes to publish this post before it is no longer Friday.....so here goes, quickly :-)
These pictures were taken a little over a year ago in our driveway as we headed to the circus for the first time. The boys were thrilled....though, I'm not even sure they knew what going to the circus consisted of.
Have mercy, isn't it easy to differentiate the photographs taken from my old point&shoot camera from a year ago as compared to my pictures of today!
Buck-a-roo had just turned 3 and Frank-o was almost 2. The circus was in an open-air three-ring tent, crowded, hot, humid, smelly, musty, uncomfortable with tons of unexpected FUN as we bumped into and sat next to Buck-a-roo's best "girl"friend, Bella.
Whew!! I made it!

Put me in coach...I'm ready to play...today...look at me...I can be...CENTERFIELD!
Mam (Daddy Buck's mother) gave the boys each a baseball in their Easter baskets. The baseball had a purpose....to take to the LSU baseball game and have the players sign it. Tuesday night, we did just that!!
The boys had a fantastic time as the players passed by to autograph their baseballs. Frank-o's favorite player even signed his and he was astonished to see that he was "real".
For weekday games, they allow all children to enter the outfield for the singing of the National Anthem. Buck-a-roo refused saying, "I play Tball already and don't need to play here" and was brought to tears when all was said and done and he wished he had gone through with it.
Frank-o, on the other hand, busted through the gates requesting his glove and ran right past the right fielder (where he was instructed by the "Bat Girls" to STOP) and headed to center field.
Note in the picture, he is the short-for-his-age, runs-as-fast-as-a-snail-with-a-hare's-mentality, lone 2 year old, amidst 8-12 year olds, in the outfield.
You could literally hear the "oohs" and "awws" amongst the 5000+ crowd as he entered the field and then stood motionless for the National Anthem. It was a sweet, adorable, proud moment documented by our handy-dandy iPhone, seeing as it was the one&only game that I didn't have my fancy-schmancy zooming camera tucked away in the diaper bag.

Hope now....
Click here to view a video of hospitalized children at the hospital where I work and enjoy an inside glimpse into a day in the life of the physicians, child life specialists, social workers, case managers, and nurses, like myself, that work in this intense environment everyday. The music in the video was composed by a Christian group, Addison Road, from Dallas, Texas. They visited our hospital in March.
Just as we celebrate the abundant miracle of Jesus' resurrection into heaven today, these physicians and nurses use their skills to work miracles of modern medicine day in and day out.
I am a witness to it and play a role in it everyday and everything does ride on Hope for many placed in these situations....
No, I am not in the video this time and prepare yourself by grabbing a few Kleenex....

10{pics} on the 10{th} day of the month
I am following the lead of 4 Little Men and Girly Twins on this one. It is, for me, a terrific way of getting several pictures, from different shootings, out there in one post! Enjoy the hodgepodge!
Frank-o turning in his request to "Cowboy Jack" (as he calls him), a member of a two-man country duo at a local restaurant.
Frank-o perfecting his bubble-blowing skills
Frank-o was devastated the entire hour of Buck-a-roo's T-ball practice. He kept saying, "I bour (read: four), I go on the field too"
The boys strumming my grandfather's old guitar....guitars have become their favorite toy
