The Power of Prayer

You might remember in the past that I have participated in the i Y faces weekly photo contest. Each week they sponsor a different theme and ask for photo entries, primarily face shots, that exemplify the week's theme. This week's theme is special and involves a contest to be featured in the i Y faces publication. Their request: the best "face" photo of your choice....

Though I had the option of delving deep into my multitudes of photographs of my children, I have chosen a picture of Frank-o that I just took last week.

For me, Frank-o's tightly closed eyes, clinched fists, and evident veins in his forehead are fabulous in this snapshot that I took last week during the opening prayer before Buck-a-roo's End of the Year program at preschool. Lord only knows just what it was that he was so fiercely praying about. We'll just keep that between he and the Big Guy upstairs!

I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb Book photo contest. I am granting I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites.

prayers needed

The details are sketchy at this point, but I am asking for your prayers for my dear friend, Jocelyn's, mother. Apparently my friend had to travel to Alabama in the middle of the night last night because her mother had a brain aneurysm and may have to undergo brain surgery in the near future.

Please pray for God to work through the doctors and nurses at her side and for her complete recovery.

Let us not forget that our LSU Tigers are playing tonight in the Chick-fil-A bowl in Atlanta, Georgia. GEAUX Tigers!! Beat Georgia Tech!!

Pray, Pray, Pray

Remember the MckMiracle that I posted about back in October??

Well, here he is now at eight weeks old and once again needs our prayers!!

He is the son of my blogging friend, MckMama, and he is currently hospitalized in the pediatric ICU for a severe case of RSV and possibly will be intubated and placed on the ventilator later today.

Let's pray for the doctors and nurses to work hard and for Stellan's swift recovery.

Aside from my own, of course, below is a link to my favorite blog to read. This family is complete strangers to me, however, her (the mother's) blog is so entertaining--she is a captivating author and humorous mother of three young children and one on the way. Currently she is pregnant with an extremely complicated and severely critical pregnancy and is requesting a prayer movement and ultimately a miracle for her unborn baby boy. Clicking the link below will take you to their blog where, if you would like, you can learn of their situation and join a prayer vigil for an unborn baby. We can relate to the fear of losing your unborn child and the fear of losing a child born too early. Jack and I were blessed with two miracle sons and will pray for the same for this family!! Allow yourself some time...it is quite lengthy to get fully up-do-date of their situation.
