Weekend Wrap-up

Are we the only family that continuously needs to have Mondays available for rest, relaxation, and recuperation from the overly busy weekends that we live for. This past weekend remained true to our ways...friends, family, fun, frenzy! And, as I type this post on Monday night at 9:13pm, not having had the day off to regain my vim, vigor, and vitality...I am weary and worn out (and full of alliterations).

Friday night....girls' night at the LSU baseball game. Myself and two of my girlfriends enjoyed the game as our LSU Tigers delivered a beating to the Tennessee Volunteers (the remainder of the series on Saturday and Sunday...NOT so impressive).

Saturday lunch....the boys and I met some friends at Chick-fil-A for a lunch playdate.

Saturday night....the boys spent the night at my MIL and Daddy Buck and I joined my SIL/BIL for a fundraiser silent auction/live auction/dinner/drinks/music at our church. It is a large production, complete with a theme. This year's theme~groovy, late 60s/early 70s/woodstock/hippie.

Here's DB and I sporting our best hippie threads (and hairs) for the night's events.

And, here's a group picture of our entire table.

{we partied the night away as if we were still 20 somethings until 2am and were up by 7am to get boys and prepare for Sunday's agenda}

Sunday....my brother came into town and we, along with several friends, went to the Angola Prison Rodeo. You may remember this post last fall when Frank-o and I enjoyed the rodeo for the first time. This past Sunday was the Spring rodeo and as the saying goes, "April showers bring..." a massive muddy mess to a rodeo arena. The most disappointing aspect of this venture is that no cameras or cell phones are allowed on the grounds of the state penitentiary....this means no picture documentation for posting on your family blog {bummer!}.

Whew! It reminds me of my fatigue as I relive the weekend's events in this written recap. Hope everyone had a fabulous, fun-filled weekend.

My heart is heavy and my prayers are in preparation for Stellan's upcoming heart surgery tomorrow morning. May his physicians be filled with wisdom and may our Great Physician's will prevail for Stellan and his MckFamily tomorrow.

Love the hippie pictures! You all really look the part, so cool! Our weekends are usually pretty busy too, especially as summer gets closer!

Baby Stellen is most definitely in my prayers!

Whew! I'm tired from just reading what all you did.

Y'all looked great all "tripped" out. And staying out til 2am... Better you than me, friend!
