I have a feeling that’s just the way he likes it!
Today the boys finish their two-week swimming lesson session.
And, let’s just say that they have progressed far beyond what I would’ve imagined.
The progression and dialect goes something like this……..
“Watch me go down the slide with no floaties {without you catching me}!”
“Look at me swim and take breaths like she taught me to {without stopping to hold on to you}!”
“I can swim with my head underwater {without your help}!”
“I can jump off the diving board and swim to the ladder by myself {I don’t need you to catch me anymore}!”
“Do you see me doing it all by myself {without you or Daddy}?!”
{{Why yes I do see you Mr. Goggle Eyes}}
“Are you proud of me {for swimming without you}?!”
“I can swim deep in the deep end!!”
Excuse me for a second while I go chew on the fact that they do not need me anymore!
WAIT!! What’s this? Is he nervous/frightened/scared?
Allow me to set down this camera while I go catch my baby as he jumps off the diving board!!!
YEAH!! For a bit longer, he does need me!!
::I am, however, the teeniest bit thrilled that they are not hanging/climbing/tugging on me (and my swimsuit) every waking minute that we are in the water::
My Daddy is {35} years old
He weighs {60} lbs and is {about 2} feet tall.
His hair is {none} and his eyes are {blue} .
My dad loves to relax by{the fire} and he likes to wear {work clothes}.
He loves to cook {pizza}.
His favorite household chore is {washing vehicles}.
His favorite TV show is {racing} and his favorite song is {gospel}.
Daddy always tells me {to behave}.
It makes him happy when he {sees me behaving}.
When my Dad shops, he loves to buy {dirt}.
If he could go on a trip, he would go to {Alabama} and he would take {his airplane}.
I really love it when my dad {does stuff to me}.

If he could go on a trip, he would go to {the beach} and he would take {mommy, Buck-a-roo, and me}.
I really love it when my dad {does good things for me}.

Happy Father’s Day!
This year’s swimming lessons couldn’t be going better!! This year, (as opposed to last year) I opted for private lessons at our club swimming pool and it has made all the difference in the world. 
Today we will complete the first week of our two week session and let’s just say that:
A) Hannah rocks!!!!!!!!
B) Buck-a-roo has mastered underwater swimming, the diving board, the breast stroke, and is now working on the {I cannot believe this} backstroke! His favorite trick is to sneak up on you underwater and “get you” pretending to be a snake, bug, monster, etc….
C) Frank-o no longer OWNS floaties! He swims underwater with ease. He slides down the slide or jumps off the diving board and swims to the ladder with no assistance. He is now focused on diving from the side of the pool!
