TAG...you're it!!!

In the world of blogging, being tagged means that one of your blogging buddies has petitioned you to participate in an ongoing blog post and you have the responsibility of "paying it forward" and inviting several of your blogging buddies to do the same.

My new dear Southern belle of a friend, Pam, at Twenty Little Piggies tagged me. The idea behind this tag is to find out more about our blogging buddies by having them list/describe/fabricate 20 random things about themselves that we don't otherwise know from reading their blog.

Here are the official rules:

create a list of 20 random things about yourself, link back to the blog that tagged you, tag 20 (though, I will be revising this to 10) new folks by linking to them in your post, then leave a comment on each of their blogs letting them know they've been tagged

  1. I am a certified pediatric registered nurse with a bachelors degree (RN, BSN, CPN) and currently work as a nurse for a pediatric sedation team at a Children's Hospital, where I administer anesthetic drugs alongside a physician to anesthetize children for procedures that they could not otherwise tolerate while awake.

  2. I create several posts in advance and then schedule them to post at a later date/time; though I am on the computer daily reading blogs, I do not create posts for my own blog on a daily basis.

  3. I sleep with my cell phone on my bedside table. There's something wrong with that, I just know it...

Due to complications during pregnancy with my second son, my husband and I were told that he had a less than 3% chance of survival. Following 20 weeks of bedrest, we now have a healthy (PRAISE THE LORD) 2 year old son.

  • My first son was born prematurely, weighing 4 lbs. 4 ozs. and came home from the hospital 2 weeks later weighing only 3 lbs. 9 ozs.

  • Before blogging, I was addicted to reality television; since taking up blogging this past summer, I now rarely watch the TV at all.

  • I do enjoy potatoes in any way, shape, or form. I will eat them on a rare occasion, never mashed!

  • My husband and I met on a blind date and have been together ever since.

  • I was raised within 10 miles of all four of my grandparents and believe it played a part in who I am today. Those memories are immeasurable.

  • My parents are still married....32 years and counting!

  • I have a brother....21 months younger than I. We are and have always been, the best of friends. BTW..he's tall, handsome, independent, and single!

  • I am about to jump, head-first, into the world of comparison shopping and coupon-clipping.

  • I have never been to DisneyWorld.

  • I do not secretly wish that I was a stay-at-home-mom. I have no problem admitting that I am no where near tough enough for that job.

  • I was an avid aerobics instructor throughout college (2xs/day 5days/week); though, I swear you wouldn't know it now.

  • I have administered CPR to three complete strangers in my life. That is bizarre and unstatistical.

  • I really, really like dressing my boys alike, though THEY are just about over it.

  • When I was a child, I was so allergic to poison ivy/oak/sumac that I was once hospitalized for 7+ days for a single incidence. During that hospitalization; I was administered high-dose steroids, which in turn made me gain 15+ pounds in one week.

  • I am a Roman Catholic.

  • My engagement ring and wedding band were my grandmothers. The ring that I wear on my right hand is an antique-inspired filigree white gold .63 carat diamond that I WON at a bar in college.

  • Here's my tagees:

    1. Courtney @ Courtney and the Boys

    2. Tiffany @ The Boren Life

    3. Michelle @ Circle of Life

    4. Brent @ where laughter lives...The Riggs Family Blog

    5. Lacie @ The Shipman Family

    6. Kristan @ The Cover Family Chaos

    7. Tim @ Fort Thompson

    8. Leanna @ Our Son.....Patrick

    9. Lori @ Simple Shutter

    10. Mandi @ Monistere Maddness

As Pam stated in her 20 Random Things post, do not criticize me or laugh hysterically because bullets aren't aligned and my font isn't correct, this post was time-consuming and for some unexplainable reason.....I couldn't make it work!!

All I've got to say is Thank Goodness it's not just me on the bullets! I was about to breakdown over those stupid things.

Nope, I actually have more to say. We have these similarities my friend:
*Obviously the fact that we're both sweet-as-sugar Southern Belles
*I'm also a reformed reality tv junkie turned blogger hardly looking at the tube anymore
*The husband and blind date thing
*I was raised within about 4 HOUSES (as the crow flies) of my grandparents and I totally agree
*I still dress my girls alike when I can find cute stuff
*And I'm not strong enough to be a great stay-at-home mom but nobody else could handle the job either so I guess they're stuck with me.

I love all your random facts. Thanks for playing along!

Hope you have a great week "knocking kids out",
    Pam
